Graduate Student Opportunities
Are you a graduate student pursuing a Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy or a Masters degree in Social Work? If so, consider becoming a Graduate Student MFT Trainee or MSW at Casa Youth Shelter!
Casa Youth Shelter provides a structured training program for our graduate students. MFT Trainees provide counseling services for a diverse clientele that includes adolescent residents, their families and non-residential members of the community. MSW Interns take on a clinical social worker role where they receive experience in case management and counseling skills with both the residential program and community clients. Graduate students gain valuable hands-on experience providing counseling to clients in one-on-one individual settings, family sessions, groups and some couples. MSW Interns will have micro, mezzo and macro learning opportunities. Casa Youth Shelter provides five (5) hours of supervision weekly, consisting of both individual and group supervisions.
