Residential Shelter Care Program
Casa Youth Shelter provides emergency temporary shelter for youth aged 12-17. Our residents come from all backgrounds: they have run away from home, been abused or abandoned, and are living on the streets or on the verge of homelessness. Some have never dreamed of a future in which they can make a positive impact on the world and they do not have faith that a good and stable home is possible for them. These are the children who seek care at Casa Youth Shelter. Our vision for each and every resident is that they will successfully reunite with their families and build a strong cohesive family unit together, with our help.
In addition to temporary housing, short term shelter care residents receive three nutritious meals with snacks per day, basic needs such as hot showers, clean clothing, and fresh linens for their beds, and are provided with a variety of counseling services.
We accept residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Residents are often referred to Casa Youth Shelter by social services, law enforcement agencies, or by their schools, but a large number of our residents come in on their own as well.
