Undergraduate Fieldwork Students
Are you an undergraduate student majoring in Human Services, Psychology, Sociology or a related area, and seeking fieldwork experience? Or are you enrolled in classes in these fields and interested in getting an introduction to the field of Social Services in a structured group home setting?
Undergraduate Fieldwork Students in practicum help to monitor the youth in shelter, assist on crisis calls, chart daily notes on clients, participate as co-facilitators in group activities and crisis intake sessions, participate in outreach and engage youth as positive role models. This is an intensive hands-on learning experience.
Undergraduate Fieldwork Student requirements:
- Must be approved by your school’s fieldwork / practicum / internship program and fulfill course hours as required by your school.
- Must commit a minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Fieldwork / practicum / internship commitment is 1 semester.
